Dewey Landon Stockton, 77, of Shell Knob, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014, in his home.

He was born Oct. 1, 1936, in Shell Knob, the son of Olen and Cleta Marie (Matthews) Stockton. On April 30, 1955, in Raton, N.M., he was united in marriage to Edna Bell Varner, who survives. Additional survivors include: one son, Steven Stockton and his wife, Eva Christine, of Savanna, Ill.; two daughters, Connie Savant and her husband, Richard, of Nevada, and Patricia "Pat" Bahler and her husband, Donald, of Omaha, Neb.; two brothers, Calvin Stockton, of Pueblo, Colo. and Verdayne Stockton, of Shell Knob; two sisters, Erma Hedges, of Kansas City, and Judy Reed, of Kansas City; seven grandchildren; one step-grandchild; three great-grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.

He received his education in Shell Knob and Cassville. He had worked for Ford Motor Company in Claycomo. He was a member of Shell Knob Church of Christ, where he served as an elder.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Phil Williams will conduct the services. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
