Mary F. Fisher
Mary F. Fisher, 85, of Republic, formerly of Shell Knob, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014, in Christian Health and Rehabilitation of Republic.
She was born May 27, 1929, in Eaton, Colo., the daughter of Charles and Maude (Miller) Palmer. On Jan. 10, 1960, in Newton, Kan., she was united in marriage to George A. Fisher, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, David Fisher; five sisters, Velma Palmer Collins, Laura Palmer Hood, Irene Palmer Ruibals, Ethel Palmer Robinerson and Cova Palmer Priest; and five brothers, Willie "Bill" Palmer, twins: Ray Palmer and Raymond Palmer, Everett Wayne Palmer and Mac Delton Palmer.
Survivors include: one daughter, Sandra Lee Sinclair, of Wichita, Kan.; one brother, Charles Palmer, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn, of Kelso, Wash.; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
She received her elementary education at Mountain View and Gentry schools in Webster County and attended high school at Seymour. She then moved to Kansas. After her marriage to George, they owned and operated a restaurant for many years in Wichita, Kan. In 1985, they moved to Shell Knob. She was a member of Grace Community Church in Shell Knob and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Graveside services were held Saturday in Lake Park Memorial Gardens under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Pastor Bob Gaddis conducted the services.
