Deffenbaugh receives MariCorp scholarship

Mikala Deffenbaugh has been named the recipient of the 2014 MariCorp U.S. Scholarship. Pictured above, from left, are: Steve Weeks, Kyle Wilkerson, Mikala Deffenbaugh, State Rep. Scott Fitzpatrick, R-Shell Knob. Deffenbaugh is daughter of Robert and Lisa Deffenbaugh. She plans study nursing at Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, Okla. She is active in her church and was a member of the Missouri All State Honor Choir and was ranked third in her class at CHS. She serves her community by volunteering to provide disaster relief, help to children's organizations and helping with blood drives. Deffenbaugh is employed with Freedom Bank of Southern Missouri. "We are proud of Mikala's accomplishments and happy to help her with her educational goals," said State Rep. Scott Fitzpatrick, R-Shell Knob, owner and founder of MariCorp U.S. Fitzpatrick was a CHS student when he founded MariCorp in 2003, and graduated with the class of 2006.
