Purdy Free Will Baptist Church hosts Vacation Bible School

Open mic session set for June 21

Seligman Chamber of Commerce will hold an open mic session at 7 p.m. on Saturday June 21 at the Seligman Chamber Event Center on Highway 37. There is no admission charge. Snacks will be served. No alcohol or smoking allowed. For more information, people may call 417-662-3612 or 479-381-2133.

Blood drive slated at Crowder College

The American Red Cross will hold blood drives from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 24 at Crowder College, 4020 N. Main in Cassville, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 27 at Arvest Bank, 503 Main in Cassville.

Dogwood Trail Garden Club flower show set

The Dogwood Trail Garden Club will present its annual flower show from 1 to 4 p.m. on June 28 at the Shell Knob/Viola Community Building. The theme will be "Childhood Memories."

Watercolor Workshop scheduled in Shell Knob

Day Family Reunion set for June 28

Richard Butler (Bud) and Kate Clara (James) Day's Family Reunion is set for June 28 at 10:30 a.m. The reunion will be held at the picnic shelter at Roaring River State Park. Attendees should bring dishes for the potluck, beverages (no alcohol) and lawn chairs. Those who play music are also invited to bring their instruments.

Bennett/Fly reunion to be held in Monett

The Bennett/Fly reunion will be held from 11 a.m. to the early evening on June 22 at the Monett Senior Citizens Center, located at 405 Dairy St. in Monett, behind Pizza Hut. A covered-dish dinner will be held at about 12:30 p.m., followed by the electron of officer, visiting and music. Those who play instruments should bring them along.

Clay sculpture workshop slated

A three-day clay sculpture workshop with artist Lew Aytes will be held June 18-19 at the Kimberling Area Library from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $100 plus materials costing around $36. For additional information, people may call 821-278-6641.

SKITS troupe to present 'Dogsbreath Deveraux'

The Shell Knob SKITS theatrical troupe will present the melodrama, "Dogsbreath Devereaux, The Dastardly Doctor" at 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 21 and 2 p.m. on June 22 at the United Methodist Church, Highway YY in Shell Knob.
