Forrest Allen Williamson, 89, of Shell Knob, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014, in his home.

He was born July 27, 1924, in Crane, the son of Lester and Birdie (Blankenship) Williamson. On Dec. 20, 2002, in Golden, he was united in marriage to Peggy Ann Stanphill, who survives.

Additional survivors include: one stepson, Timothy Kerr, of Berryville, Ark.; one step-daughter, Deborah Green, of Shell Knob; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, Jean; one sister; and one brother.

He received his education at Cassville, where he graduated from high school. During World War II, he joined the U.S. Navy. For several years, he lived in Liberal, where he was a hairdresser. He and Peggy lived in Golden, before moving to Shell Knob in 2005.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob.
