Fry earns master's degree

Benjamin F. Fry was awarded a master of arts in communication with a certificate in conflict and dispute resolution during the May 16 commencement exercises held at Missouri State University in Springfield.

Fry earned his bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from Missouri State in 2009. He works at the Hearst Corporation as a news producer at KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City.

Fry is the son of Wallace and Verna Fry of Washburn.

Cassville resident named to CMSU dean's list

WARRENSBURG -- A Cassville resident has been named to the University of Central Missouri 4.0 dean's list.

James C. Redmon of Cassville achieved the perfect mark in the previous semester.

Cassville alumna named to

College of the Ozarks dean's list

Cassville High School alumna Rachel Sanders of Jenkins was named to the spring dean's list at College of the Ozarks.

To qualify for the Dean's List, students must maintain a 3.6 minimum grade point average during the semester and carry at least 15 credit hours.

Garden Club's annual show this month

Flower Show and Garden Sale: The Dogwood Trail Garden Club's annual Show will be Saturday, June 28 from 1-4 p.m. at the Shell Knob Community Building on Highway 39. This is open to the public, and admission is free admission. The event will feature sales of potted plants and garden items, as well as local horticulture, CASK paintings and flower designs.
