Wilma L. Webb

Wilma L. Webb, 91, of Cassville, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014. She was born on Jan. 24, 1923, in Rich Hill, daughter of John and Vergie (Lockwood) Fahnestock. She was united in marriage to J.D. Webb in Joplin; he preceded her in death in 1991. After retiring from Safeway as a checker, she and her family moved to Cassville in 1979 to make their home. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #118 in Cassville.

Survivors include: one daughter, Rosemary Cerda and her husband, Jesse, of Orland, Calif.; her granddaughter, whom she has raised since birth, Tonya Shaw and her husband, Shannon, of Cassville; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, John Fahnestock and his wife, Mary, of Miami, Okla.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Johnny Webb and Tommy Webb, one daughter, Paula Felix, one brother, and four sisters.

Memorial services were held Monday at White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, with Rev. Jamie Smith officiating.
