Bobby James "Bob" Bollinger
Bobby James "Bob" Bollinger, 83, of Shell Knob, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014.
He was born Feb. 16, 1931, in Dalhart, Texas, the son of James Addison and Annie Sue (Campbell) Bollinger, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include: two sons, Bob James Bollinger and his wife, Julia, of Stillwater, Okla., and Wayne Alan Bollinger and his wife, Debbie, of Owasso, Okla.; one daughter, Cari Lee Bollinger-Taylor, of Perkins, Okla.; one step-daughter, Terri Stephens, of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
He was a 1949 graduate of Stillwater High School in Stillwater, Okla. In 1954, he received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Oklahoma A & M College. After graduation, he started Bollinger Machine Works in Stillwater, Okla., which he operated until 1963, when he moved to Tulsa to work for North American Rockwell Aircraft as a machinist. He retired as manager of wage administration and industrial staffing. Twenty-eight years ago, he moved from Irvine, Calif., to Shell Knob.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob.
