Cassville Mayor Bill Shiveley issued a proclamation supporting the month of May as National Drug Court Month during a Thursday ceremony at the Judicial Center. A 25-year tradition that has been in Barry County for six years, the proclamation said Drug Courts save up to $27 for every $1 invested, produce up to $13,000 for every individual they serve, and 75 percent of graduates are never arrested again. Those pictured include, Earl Best, counselor; Johnnie Cox, Barry County prosecutor; Shiveley; Victor Head, assistant circuit court judge; Marty Stearns, Drug Court administrator; Dana Kammerlohr, Cassville police chief; and Nancy Foulke, probation and parole officer.
