26 people drop off unwanted drugs to Cassville Police
A total of 26 people participated in the DEA Drug Take Back event on April 26 in Cassville, dropping off 123.2 pounds of unwanted drugs to Cassville police.
The first time Cassville Police Department participated in the Drug Take Back, there were 6 pounds of unwanted drugs dropped off by six people.
"The Cassville Police Department would like to thank the people who turned in their unwanted drugs," said Dana Kammerlohr, Cassville police chief. "This is a safe way of getting rid of the drugs that one no longer needs in their homes. This is a way of keeping drugs out of the hands of young people and also keeps the drugs out of the environment."
Kammerlohr said another Drug Take Back event will be held in October.
