Cassville Project Graduations hosts Golf tourney
The Cassville High School Annual Project Graduation Golf Tournament will be held at 8 a.m. on May 10 at the Cassville Golf Club. For the two-person scramble, there is a $90 entry fee that includes green fees, a golf cart rental and food. Proceeds from the event benefit Project Graduation, which aims to keep graduates safe and out of trouble on graduation night. Senior Center hosting Mother's Day Lunch
The Cassville Senior Center will host a Mother's Day Lunch on May 9 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event will feature a special dessert table with a chocolate fountain, as well as a number of door prizes. Senior Center hosts May Dance
The Cassville Senior Center will be having its May Dance on May 10 from 7-10 p.m. at the Cassville Senior Center, located at 1111 Fair Street. The Roaring River Sound Band will be playing, and there is a $4.00 charge at the door. Please bring finger foods or a snack. All proceeds will be used for the Meals on Wheels program. Eagle Rock Library hosting Craft Fair
The Eagle Rock Friends of the Library are hosting their 4th Annual Craft Fair on May 10. Many local vendors have signed up to bring items such as: cedar crafts, homemade jewelry, sewed items, and much more. The Fair will be held in the Eagle Rock Community Center Barn. Cassville Senior Center collecting garage sale items
The Cassville Senior Center is collecting items for its semi-annual garage sale. Donated items may be dropped off at the center, located at 1111 Fair St. in Cassville. All proceeds from the upcoming garage sale will benefit the center. Large and small, gently-used items will be accepted.
Crowder hosting Common Core talk
Mary Byrne, who has a master's in education, will discuss the Common Core Curriculum and its impact on education, assessments, data collection and students during a talk at 7 p.m. on May 9 at the Crowder College Campus Community Building in Cassville.
Eagle Rock Homeschool Art program to host show
On May 15, the Eagle Rock Homeschool Art program will come to an end, culminating in an Art Show to be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Eagle Rock Community Center Barn. The homeschool program was held at the library the first and third Thursdays of each month. This program is hosted every other year with support from the Friends of the Library Group and plans for the 2015 session are underway.
Date set for CHS Alumni Banquet
The Cassville High School Alumni Association will host its annual Alumni Banquet on May 24 at 6 p.m. Any classes hosting a reunion in conjunction with the banquet are asked to call Kay Baker, alumni association president, at 417-547-4219.
