CMS IT team earns 6 medals at April district competition

The Cassville Middle School Industrial Technology team attended the Technology Education Association of Missouri district competition on April 25.

The Industrial Technology team earned 6 medals by achieving top scores during the event. Medal winners competed at the state competition at Lake Ozark on May 5-6. The results of that competition were not available as of press time.

The middle school team entered 13 projects and competed in expo events designed to test hands-on technology and engineering skills.

Medal winners included: Cale Jackson, bird house; Shannon Haney, CO2 dragster; Austin Wilson, park bench; Jordan Reed and Dillan Foltz, weight bench; Gage Null and Bradley Marshall, wind turbine; and Braden Strahan and Jacob Smith, catapult.

Other participants included: Skyler Wolf, gun rack; Colton Robinson, cedar chest; Dalton O'Neill/Dakota Moss, coffee table; Jeremiah Fisher, pitcher's mound; Lucio Moreno, wooden checkerboard; Tristan Garner, wooden checkerboard; Cordale Writer, Shawn Wolf and Austin Reed-Utter, target stands; Cole Jackson, Sam Holeman and Dakota Miller, expo events; and Trey Sturgell, wall shelf.
