CHS students compete at MSSU

Students from the Cassville High School business department traveled to Missouri Southern State University on April 2 for the 36th Annual Business Competition. Students from the Cassville High School business department traveled to Missouri Southern State University on April 2 for the 36th Annual Business Competition.

This year was the first year where half of the events were broken down into class groups, and three places were given for each age group.

The other half of the events were awarded by division/school size. Students who received first place in their events received a $500 scholarship from MSSU.

Individual awards included: Emily Brewer, senior, first place in business math; Zach Denton, sophomore, first place in business math and first place in general business; Ashlea Large, freshman, second place in public speaking; and Jessica Haney, sophomore, third Place in business math.

Division award winners included: Jordan Fisher and Andrew Whitham, second place in marketing; Brittany Sanchez, second place in multimedia; and Arian Banks, second place in website.
