Lewis Free, 81, of Eagle Rock, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 26, 2014. He was born on Oct. 13, 1932, son of Leroy and Nancy (Wagner) Free, in Cooperstown, Penn. After serving his country in the U.S. Air Force, he began working for Douglas Aircraft in California. On Nov. 19, 1955, he was united in marriage to Ann Hensley, in Quartzsize, Ariz.; she preceded him in death on Dec. 23, 2013.
Survivors include: three daughters, Sandra Mortensen and her husband, Russ, of Lake Havasu, Ariz., Lisa Free, of Holiday Island, Ark., and Shelly Sherman and her husband, Carl, of St. Louis; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Memorials may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation and entrusted to the White Funeral Home, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the White Funeral Home & Crematory, Cassville.
