William "Bill" Trecker, 87, of Cassville, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He was born on July 18, 1926, son of Fred and Charlotte (Gamach) Trecker, in Chicago, Ill. On Aug. 9, 1947, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Lussnig in Chicago, Ill.; she preceded him in death on April 22, 1997. He joined the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He was a member of the Arnhart Baptist Church in Purdy.
Survivors include: his two sons, Gary Trecker and his wife, Kirsti, and John Trecker and his wife, Debbie, all of Chicago, Ill.; one daughter, Carole Trecker, of Cassville; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, June Evans.
Military graveside services were provided by the V.F.W. Post #4207 at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville with Rev. John Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until service time at the White Funeral Home and Crematory.
