Cassville man injured in 2-vehicle crash
Injured man cited for felony DWI, other offenses
A Cassville man was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 112 approximately a half mile south of Cassville over the weekend.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicated the crash occurred when the driver of a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix, Michael W. Wormington, 47, of Cassville, struck a 1996 GMC pickup from behind at about 1:45 a.m. Sunday. The truck, driven by Dustin T. Letts, 19, of Cassville, was stopped in traffic. Letts was wearing a safety belt.
Wormington was cited for felony driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving and no seat belt.
Wormington suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Cassville.
