One of 3 charged in Golden meth bust
Arkansas man charged, 2 others released on future follow-up
Only one man has been charged in a trio of arrests made by the Barry County Sheriff's Department in a meth-related bust on Thursday afternoon.
Shane Stephenson, of Carroll County, Ark., is being charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, a class B felony. Stephenson also has a felony warrant out of Carroll County, Ark., in which drugs are involved.
Two other individuals were arrested at the scene, and they have been released on further follow-up with cases pending. The pair's names are not being released because they have not been charged with any crimes.
At about 2:30 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to Farm Road 1040 in Golden and arrested the trio at an abandoned home about 100 yards from the Arkansas state line.
According to Barry County Sheriff Mick Epperly, it appeared as though the three were selling meth out of the vacant home, traveling back and forth between Golden and Carroll County, Ark.
The Drug Task Force assisted deputies in the search, which turned up a large amount of meth at the scene.
