Shell Knob hosts 27th Annual Home and Business Show
Yearly show to feature home improvement items, foods, radio broadcast
Shell Knob Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 27th Annual Home and Business Show on April 11 and April 12.
Roger Pinnell, owner of Green Mountain Realty, said this business has been part of the show since it started in 1987.
"There are a good variety of booths," Pinnell said. "It gets your face out to a lot of people, and gives you a chance to talk to people. It's great exposure."
Karen Elsey, executive director of the Shell Knob Chamber of Commerce, said the event will have live radio broadcasts both days.
Visitors will see home improvement items, foods and a number of different businesses. Guests can sign up to win a plant every hour, as well as join the kick-off for "Shoppin' the Shell," a raffle that will begin selling tickets for someone to win $1,000 from the vendors of their choice. The drawing for the raffle will be in July.
"Everyone gets together to see new things," Elsey said. "People begin thinking about their gardens and how to improve their show. It gets them back in the swing of things after a long winter and lets community members see each other again."
Over 90 booths have already been purchased, featuring vendors from across the Ozarks. Elsey said that she expects all to be sold, and the show typically features about 100 booths.
To rent a booth, people may contact Elsey at the chamber office at 417-858-3300.
The show runs 5-8:30 p.m. on April 11, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 12. Admission and parking are free.
