Biggs honored at Cassville's music event
Above, Mary Richmiller, right, choir director, presents Carolyn Biggs, of Cassville, the Lifetime Music Advocacy award. Biggs graduated from Cassville as a member of the Glee Club. She played in the "Happy Travelers" quartet, which traveled and sang at churches. Her music group "The New Believers," which was made up of family members, performed at Silver Dollar City during a music festival. She continues to sing today in a group called "3rd Generation" with her oldest son and granddaughter. She often plays piano at local events, and is the pianist for Corinth Baptist Church.
