Administrators rehired by Purdy school board

Principals have held same posts for at least 10 years

All of the administrators for the Purdy R-2 School District have been rehired for the 2014-15 school year.

Action was taken at the board's February meeting, after extending Superintendent Dr. Steven Chancellor's contract in January. Chancellor's salary is $86,000.

Jeff Swadley, elementary principal, received a 10-month contract for $59,377.50. Swadley has served as elementary principal since 2004.

Janet Boys, middle school principal, received a 10-month contract for $59,015. Boys, who has served in her position since 2000, also oversees compliance with federal programs.

Bob Vice, high school principal, received an 11-month contract for $64,502.76. Vice has served in his position since 2003 and also oversees the yearbook.

Mindi Gates, director of curriculum and instruction, received a nine-month teaching salary of $34,850. Next year will be her second year as an administrator.

All administrators received a one-year contract at the recommendation of Chancellor.
