Shell Knob man killed in crash

A Shell Knob man was killed this weekend in a crash on Highway 465 two miles north of Branson.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Donald Anderson, 66, was headed south at 11:10 p.m. Friday when his 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche ran off the road, struck two bushes and overturned. The police report states that Anderson was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.

Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene by Taney County Coroner Kevin Tweety, then taken to Sapps Funeral Home of Branson.

This is Troop D's ninth fatality crash of the year. Patrolmen were assisted on the scene by the Taney County Sheriff's Department.
