On Feb. 17, the kindergarten class at Cassville Primary School celebrated the 100th day of school.

In January, Lyall's class began collecting cans for the 100th day of school, as the kindergartners have been discussing how to help others in the community. The goal was 100 cans for the 100th day.

The class reached this goal and then some, collecting 115 cans. The children donated many cans, as well as the class' business partners, Dr. Steve Runnels of Runnels Chiropractic, and his wife Stacey Runnels of All Points Recycling.

These cans will be donated to the Helping Hands Community Food Pantry in Eagle Rock. Accepting the cans was volunteer and IA at Cassville Primary, Tracy Hagan.

Lyall would like to thank to the children, their parents and the Runnels for their generous donations, and to Tracy Hagan for taking them to the food pantry.
