Helen Marie Bowman, 67, of Cassville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, in her home.

She was born Nov. 17, 1946, in Cassville, the daughter of Orville and Thelma "Louise" (Saunders) Skelton. On Sept. 10, 1965, she was united in marriage to Rodney "Dale" Bowman, who survives.

Additional survivors include: two sons, Kevin Bowman and Chuck Bowman, both of Cassville; one daughter, Angie Luney and her husband, Joe, of Cassville; one brother, Clay Skelton and his wife, Glenda, of Cassville; two sisters, Linda Corbin and her husband, Mike, of Hammond, La., and Jeannie Waltrip and her husband, Richard, of Exeter; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Preceding her in death were her parents.

She grew up and received her education in Cassville, where she graduated from high school. She then received her cosmetology license from Springfield Beauty School. For 42 years, she was a self-employed hairdresser in Cassville. She was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Milford Baker conducted the services. Burial was at Mineral Springs Cemetery, Cassville.
