The Cassville Education Fund committee is gearing up for its Cassville Trivia Night, to be held at 7 p.m. on March 7 at Cassville High School.

The Crowder College Extra Credit trivia team will look to defend its title, and topics at the trivia event include: Sports, history, geography, literature, pop culture, movies, music, food and nature. The team competition allows for teams to discuss answers and agree upon one answer, to be written on an answer sheet.

Four rounds of trivia will be held, with the scores tallied after each round and culminating in a winner-take-all bonus-point competition. The champion of the night will be the team that has correctly answered the most number of questions and earned the most bonus points.

Winner will receive medals, and their names will be engraved on a traveling trophy. Dessert and refreshments will be served throughout the competition.

Friends, church groups, co-workers, clubs and trivia buffs are encouraged to attend, and each team may have up to eight members. Individuals who wish to participate will be assigned to a pick-up team on the night of the event.

Entry fees are $15 per person or $120 per team. To guarantee a spot in the competition, participants should pre-register at the Cassville Chamber of Commerce office, located at 504 Main St. in Cassville, or call the office at 417-847-2814. Spectators may watch the event for a $5 entry fee.

All contributions are tax-deductible and benefit the Cassville Education Fund, which supports academic programs at Cassville Schools.
