Queen to be crowned during Friday assembly

Purdy High School will celebrate homecoming this week, culminating in the crowning of the homecoming queen on Friday.

Theme for the event is "Purdy's Queen of Hearts." The queen will be crowned before the hometown crowd at about 6:30 p.m. Friday. The Eagles will take on McAuley for the big game. The coronation will take place between the junior varsity boys game and the varsity boys game. The girls game will follow in a doubleheader.

To honor the boys, Mr. Tip-Off will be announced during the afternoon pep assembly. Nominated for the honor are freshman Esvin Rodriguez, sophomore Isaac Brattin, junior Robby Moody and senior Andrew McCormick.

Nominated as queen candidates are freshman Morgan Schilly, sophomore Courtney White, junior Trisha Jones and senior Careya Garcia.
