Elvin Price Brattin, 65, of Tulsa, Okla., formerly of Wheaton, passed away Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, in Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

He was born May 26, 1948, in Wheaton, the son of Cecil Burl and Luria Dorisalee (Price) Brattin. On June 12, 1971, in Columbia, he was united in marriage to Jolinda Sloto, who survives.

Additional survivors include: three children, Joel Brattin and his wife, Christine, of Seattle, Wash., Julie Knowles and her husband, Graham, of Tulsa, Okla., and Joanie Joseph and her husband, Cris, of Tulsa, Okla.; his father, Cecil Brattin and his wife, Carolyn, of Wheaton; one sister, Kathy Arnold and her husband, Roger, of Pierce City, and 11 grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Dorisalee Brattin and one sister, Leanne Brattin.

He grew up in Wheaton and graduated from Wheaton High School with the Class of 1966. In 1971, he received his bachelor of science degree in agriculture from the University of Missouri in Columbia, and continuing at MU until 1974, when he received his master's degree. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1975, and then became a Microsoft Certified Consultant. He was an active member of Tulsa Rotary International and Asbury United Methodist Church in Tulsa. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14 in Wheaton Southern Baptist Church, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Pastor Paul Wahlert will conduct the services. Burial will be in Dice Cemetery, Fairview.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday in Wheaton Southern Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Okla.
