Trojans trip Monett, 63-60

The Southwest Trojans got 25 points from Blake Barns and 12 points from Brad Daniels to earn a 63-60 win over Monett on Friday.

Southwest led 20-14 at the end of the first quarter, and 35-32 at halftime. The Cubs battled back and took a 49-47 lead into the final eight minutes, but the Trojans went on to get the win.

Southwest hosts Purdy on Friday. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.

Exeter boys down Wheaton

The Exeter Tigers earned a 82-62 Homecoming win over Wheaton on Friday.

The Tigers improved to 4-1 in Ozark 7 Conference play.

Colten Stringer paced Exeter with 26 points and Terry Cook added 16.

The Tigers travel to Joplin to face Thomas Jefferson on Tuesday. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m.

Wheaton girls fall to Exeter, 60-38

The Exeter Lady Tigers used an 18-7 run in the second quarter and 16-6 surge in the third to down Wheaton, 60-38, on Friday.

Karlee Mason and Mariah Kochell led the Lady Bulldogs with 12 points each.

Wheaton travels to Southwest on Monday. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Jasper tops Purdy Lady Eagles

A hot start to the game lifted the Jasper Lady Eagles to a 37-21 halftime lead and to an eventual 66-40 win over Purdy on Friday.

Jayse Henderson led Purdy with 16 points. Ashton Young chipped in 8 points.

Purdy travels to Southwest on Friday. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
