The Lady 'Rider Softball team will have a new look this spring as John Sisemore takes the reins as the interim head softball coach. The softball team kicks off their season at home on Feb. 15.

"Crowder is very fortunate to get a coach with the experience and credentials Coach Sisemore possesses," said Millie Gilion, athletic director.

Sisemore was the head coach at Ecclesia College in Springdale, Ark., the Adidas National team, and the Crush Elite Softball team. He also served as an assistant coach at the University of Arkansas. In six years as a head coach, Sisemore has amassed a record of 268 wins and 41 losses.

Sisemore helped begin the Ecclesia program and built an on-campus field and indoor practice facility. He has also coached many standout performers including: Three all-SEC and NCAA All-Americans, four all-Big 12 Performers, two National Pro Fastpitch performers, and three ASA national qualifier teams.

When applying for the position, Sisemore indicated he had a desire to build a national champion team.

"I am honored to be a part of such a great atmosphere here at Crowder," Sisemore said. "When I was given this tremendous opportunity I had no idea what a wonderful welcoming place I was coming to. This has to be the best kept secret in the country.

"I hope to help continue the winning traditions and hard work ethics that have been instilled by the faculty now and before me. I truly now understand 'the Crowder way' and look forward to letting the secret out."
