Central Crossing Firefighters and First Responders to host Fundraiser
The Central Crossing First Responders and Firefighters are holding their annual Chili and Soup
Fest Fundraiser on Feb. 15 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Viola/Shell Knob Community Building. The community building is located just off Highway 39, one mile south of Central Crossing Bridge on the east side of the road. This is an all-you-can-eat meal at a very small fee.
Central Crossing First Responders and Firefighters have responded to nearly 500 community 911 calls to assist with accidents, health care situations, automobile wrecks, fires and many other emergencies. The First Responders AEDs, Automatic External Defibrillators, are becoming obsolete, so the money raised will be used to replace the old units and to purchase other equipment and supplies.
Central Crossing First Responders and Firefighters serve the Shell Knob area, covering nearly 140 square miles in Barry and Stone counties. For more information or to make a donation, people may contact Shannon Renfrow at 417-619-2079 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
