Cassville Schools hosting Cheerleading Camp

Cassville Schools is hosting its Wildcat Cheerleading Camp Feb. 4-6, beginning after school each day and ending at 4:30 p.m. The camp is open to kindergarten through sixth-grade students. Tuesday's camp will be in the Rock Gym, Wednesday's will be in the field house and Thursday's will be in the Rock Gym. Cost is $10 for the camp and a T-shirt. An entry form and payment must be received by Jan. 31. Those who participate in the camp will perform a routine at halftime of the boys basketball game on Feb. 8.

Senior Center hosting monthly dance

The Cassville Senior Center, located at 1111 Fair St., will host its monthly dance from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The Roaring River Sound Band will be playing music, and there is a $4 cover charge at the door. Proceeds from the event benefit the Meals on Wheels program, and the Center asks attendees to bring snacks or finger foods. For more information, people may call 417-846-3024 or 417-846-5355.

Crowder College hosts International Paramedic Open House

The International Paramedic Open House will be Thursday, Jan. 30, from 2-4 p.m. in Wright Conference Center on the Crowder College Neosho campus. This is Crowder's first international hybrid paramedic program offering students the opportunity to complete a paramedic degree online with field and hospital experience in the U.S. Students from Ireland, Argentina, and the Phillippines are currently enrolled in the program as well as some from Hawaii and California. Ambulance and hospital personnel are encouraged to attend. The event is free and open to anyone interested in meeting the students or learning more about the program. Greek induction to be held Feb. 9

Mercy Hospital hosting blood drive

Mercy Hospital in Cassville, located at 94 Main St., will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. To be eligible, donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health and present a photo ID. The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is hosting the drive and has issued an alert for the following blood types: O positive, O negative and A negative. There is less than a two-day supply of these types on hospital shelves, so donations are needed.

Crowder Art Instructor on display in Longwell Museum

Allen Bishop, Crowder Art Instructor, will have artwork on display in the Longwell Museum, located inside the Elsie Plaster Community Center, until Feb. 6. Museum hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. This event is free and open to the public.

Cassville Trivia Night planned

The Cassville Education Fund will host Trivia Night at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 7 at the Cassville High School commons area. Four rounds of trivia questions will be interspersed with winner-take-all bonus point games. The entry fee is $15 per person. Spectators are welcome at a cost of $5 per person. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Cassville Education Fund supporting academic programs at Cassville schools.
