Spencer "Mike" Primrose, 80, of Cassville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, in Table Rock Health Care in Kimberling City.

He was born Jan. 18, 1934, in Oakland, Calif., the son of Frank Primrose and Florence Sobrero. On Aug. 13, 1957, he was united in marriage to Bev Davilla, who survives.

Additional survivors include: five sons, Robin Jones and his wife, Susan, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Michael Primrose, of Greenville, N.C., David Primrose and his wife, Nancy, of Rio Rancho, N.M., Jason Sobrero and his wife, Samantha, of Cassville, and Michael Primrose, Jr., of Wichita, Kan.; two daughters-in-law, Jessica Primrose, of Stockton, Calif., and Ruthie Primrose, of Seligman; one brother, Frank Primrose, of Carmel, Calif.; two sisters, JoAnn Jenson and Lillian Klimek, both of California; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and three sons, Paul Primrose, Johnny Primrose and Phillip Primrose.

He received his education in California, where he graduated from high school and attended two years of college. He joined the U.S. Navy, serving from 1953 to 1955. Most of his life was spent in California. Three years ago, he moved to Cassville to make his home.

Funeral services were held in Grissom's Chapel, San Lorenzo, Calif., today (Wednesday). Burial with military honors was at Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, Calif. Chapel.
