Barry County Soils and Crops Conference on tap
85th annual event talks crops, cows
The 85th annual Barry County Soils and Crops Conference is set to get underway at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Butterfield Community Building, located at 10601 N. Ash St. in Butterfield.
Registration begins at 6 p.m. with dinner at 6:15 p.m.
At 7 p.m., Jill Scheidt, agronomy specialist with the University of Missouri Extension, will discuss fine tuning wheat production management.
Dr. Voyd Brown, DVM, Barry County Veterinary Service in Cassville, will follow at 7:40 p.m. with a presentation on what bull soundness clinics have taught producers in recent years.
Finally, Tim Schnakenberg, agronomy specialist with MU Extension, will discuss the pros and cons of Round-Up ready alfalfa.
