Flu vaccines available

It's not too late to get vaccinated. Flu vaccines are still available at the Barry County Health Department, located at 65 Main St. in Cassville.

Cassville Trivia Night planned

The Cassville Education Fund will host Trivia Night at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 7 at the Cassville High School commons area. Four rounds of trivia questions will be interspersed with winner-take-all bonus point games. The entry fee is $15 per person. Spectators are welcome at a cost of $5 per person. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Cassville Education Fund supporting academic programs at Cassville schools.

ARC hosts blood drive

The American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at Crowder College, located at 4020 N. Main St. in Cassville.

Southern Missouri Beekeepers to meet

The Southern Missouri Beekeepers will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at First United Methodist Church, located at 1600 N. Central in Monett. This month's topic is deep hive bodies, frames and foundation for beginners. A pot luck dinner will be served. Those attending are encouraged to take a dish. Courthouse, Judicial Center closed

The Barry County Courthouse and Judicial Center will be closed on Jan. 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Benefit for Dustin Griffis

A benefit for Dustin Griffis, a Cassville High School student diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma, has been re-scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24 and the Cassville High School commons area. The meal of chili or ham and beans, cornbread, dessert and a beverage will cost $7. An auction and live music is also planned. Team Dusty T-shirts will be available at a cost of $15. Proceeds from the event will help with expenses related to his recent diagnosis.

Barry County Genealogical Society to meet

The Barry County Genealogical and Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 20 at the Barry County Museum, located on Highway 112 south of Cassville. The public is welcome.

Stella Quilt Show slated

The Stella Quilt Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25 at the FEMA building in Stella, in conjunction with Eagle Days at Stella. Registration begins at 9 a.m. For more information, call 417-628-3817 or 417-628-3253.
