Pierce City downs Wheaton, 70-43
Led by Zack Hyde's 31-point outburst, the Pierce City Eagles boys basketball team defeated the Wheaton Bulldogs, 70-43 on Dec. 10.
The two squads were happy to get on the hardwood and battle after weather delays, but it was the Eagles who were the sharpest on their home court.
The Green and White led 17-5 after one period and 34-20 at halftime.
The Eagles extended the lead to 56-36 in the third frame, outscoring Wheaton 22 to 16.
