Patricia Ann "Pat" Tichenor
Patricia Ann "Pat" Tichenor, 76, of Cassville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013.
|She was born May 13, 1937, in Butterfield, the daughter of Charles and Reva (Hopkins) McGruder. She married Lloyd Tichenor, and to this union four children were born.||Survivors include: her children, Kim Kenney and her husband, Mike of Cassville, Kelly Brown and her husband, Larry, of Fairview, Kay McCullah and her husband, Doug, of Cassville, and Greg Tichenor, of Cassville; three sisters, Carolyn Carder and her husband, Bob, of Pierce City, Johnnie Edie and her husband, Marlee, of Cassville, and Connie Forgey and her husband, Jack, of Cassville; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.|
Preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Ellen McNabb.
She received her education at Exeter and was valedictorian of the 1955 graduating class. She then attended Draughon's Business College in Springfield. In 1983, she moved from Wheaton to Cassville, and worked for Barry County Health Department for 25 years. She later worked with Cassville Walmart for seven years. She was a charter member and co-founder of American Cowboys Rodeo Association, founding board member of Tri County Health, now Access Family Care, with the dental wing in her honor. She was a member of Cassville First Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor James Weaver conducted the services. Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter.
