Walter Davis, 91, of Golden, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, at his home. He was born on Sept. 3, 1922, son of Arthur and Anna (Polensky) Davis, in Janesville, Wis. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and served his country during World War II. On Dec. 29, 1944, he was united in marriage to Rose Marian Brown in Yuma, Ariz. He was employed by the Sta-Rite Pump Company in Janesville, Wis., as a design draftsman. After his retirement, they moved to Golden where he worked for Fasco for eight years.
Survivors include: his wife of 68 years, Rose Davis, of Golden; two sons, Charles Edward Davis, of Janesville, Wis., Robert Walter Davis, and his wife, Karen, of Stoughton, Wis.; one daughter, Chris Davis, of Milton, Wis.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, William "Bill" Davis, of Reno, Nev.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home & Crematory, Cassville.
