Emma Faye Utter Bartkoski
Emma Faye (Laney) Utter Bartkoski, 75, of Purdy, passed away Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, in Lacoba Nursing Home, Monett.
She was born Jan. 28, 1938, on the family farm in rural Exeter, one of 11 children to Charles E. and Belvia (Ross) Laney. On Dec. 29, 1953, in Wheaton, she was united in marriage to Ronald Perry Utter, and to this union four children were born. On Sept. 29, 1962, she married Frankie T. Bartkoski, and to this union one child was born.
Survivors include: her five children, Karen Faye (Utter) Jennings and her husband, Stephen, of rural Neosho, Ronald Michael Utter, of Crane, Bill Gresham Utter and his wife, Peggy, of Purdy, Robert Edwin Utter and his wife, Kimberly, of rural Monett, and Frankie Dewane Bartkoski, of Tulsa, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
Surviving siblings are Charles Lane, of Wichita, Kansas, Edith Meyer, of Monett, C.J. Whittington, of Springfield, Joyce Nix, of Monett, Donnie Davis, of Monett, Lucille Misoc, of Arkansas, and Ray Ball, of Baxter Springs, Kan.
Preceding her in death were her parents; three sisters, Ellen Pendergraft, Bonnie Ebert and Irene Laney and a granddaughter.
She received her education at Independence Rural School in Barry County, and at Wheaton High School. She was a homemaker and had been employed for Tyson and also Walmart for a while.
Graveside services were held Monday, in Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Joe Wogoman conducted the services.
