Arvest Bank has exceeded its goal of providing one million meals to the local food pantry.

The goal of the One Million Meals campaign, launched in September and continuing through Oct. 31, was to fight hunger in the 120 communities served by Arvest Bank in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas.

This year's campaign raised a total of 1.8 million meals to be distributed among local food banks and hunger organizations to help meet the growing need durng the holiday season. In Cassville, local donations totaling 3,300 meals were delivered to the Cassville Community Food Pantry.

"We are thrilled that, through the efforts of our customers and associates, Arvest Bank was able to provide meals to our neighbors in need," said Mark Davis, Arvest Bank president in Cassville. "We hope the increased awareness about hunger in Cassville will continue to help feed our neighbors long after we've completed this year's campaign. One Million Meals is a great example of the impact that can be made when many people come together."
