Antonio Luna, 73, of Butterfield, passed away Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at Cox Medical Center, Springfield.
He was born June 13, 1940, in Durango, Mexico, the son of Emiliano Luna and Maria Petra Franco Nunez. On Feb. 24, 1963, in Durango, Mexico, he was united in marriage to Hermila Nunez, who survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons, Martin Luna and his wife, Rosalba, of Rocky Comfort, and George N. Luna and his wife, Suzanne; four daughters, Yolanda Luna Nunez, of Maywood, Ill., Soledad Bahena, of Romeoville, Ill., Elsa Burgos, of Monett, and Estela Luna, of Chicago, Ill.; and 10 grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and infant daughter.
He grew up and received his education in Durango, Mexico. He and his family moved to Chicago, Ill., 38 years ago and moved to Missouri in 2003. He was a machine operator for Hi Temp in Chicago. He was a farmer. He was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church, Cassville.
Funeral Mass were held October 31, in St. Edwards Catholic Church, Cassville, under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. John S. Braun conducted the services. Burial was at Rocky Comfort Cemetery, Rocky Comfort.
