Carolyn Lee Brockman
Carolyn Lee Brockman, 60, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, in Mt. Vernon Place Care Center.
She was born Oct. 21, 1953, in Marysville, Calif., the daughter of Carrel and Fannie (Gill) Gage, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Dorothy Lakins.
She was united in marriage to David Brockman, who survives.
Additional survivors include: one daughter Miracle Cooney, of Aurora; two brothers, Wayne Gage, of Purdy, and Robert Gage, of Republic; two sisters, Patsy Russell, of Purdy, and Doris Dotson, of Cassville; and two grandchildren.
She grew up and received her education in Oroville, Calif. She worked as a waitress most of her life. After moving to southwest Missouri, she was employed at Rex's Restaurant and operated Hurds Truck Stop in Monett. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Funeral services were held Monday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Denny McQuary and Danny McQuary conducted the services. Burial was at Purdy Cemetery, Purdy.
