Washburn council to take bids on utility vehicle

Washburn aldermen approved taking bids on the old utility vehicle by sealed bid at the Sept. 26 meeting.

Aldermen will accept sealed bids with a cash only stipulation at the November meeting.

Officer Terry Meek spoke to aldermen about mechanical issue with the 2008 Crown Victoria patrol vehicle. The report will be presented at the October meeting.

Council members unanimously approved the purchase of step rails for the city's current utility vehicle at a cost of $275.

In other business, aldermen:

* Approved the September payroll report.

* Paid bills in the amount of $49,079.75.

The next meeting of the Washburn City Council will be at 6:30 p.m. p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21 at City Hall.
