State Farm agency to change hands

Wednesday, October 30, 2013

The State Farm Insurance Agency in Cassville will change hands in January 2014, when Bob and Carolyn Bishop, current agents, will retire and move to Eagle Rock. The new agent, Andrew Peters, pictured above with Bob Bishop, has already relocated to the Cassville business to ensure the transition goes smoothly. Peters, a third-generation State Farm agent, took the opportunity to relocate to Cassville, having grown up in the similarly sized community of West Plains. "We prefer a small town to raise our daughters." Peters said. Peters and his wife, Emily, and daughters Ava and Anna, plan to be moved into their new Cassville residence in mid-November. "Bob and Carolyn have built a wonderful business and reputation in the community during their 37 years," Peters said. "This is a wonderful opportunity, we're very thankful to be here." The business will continue with the same team, which includes Amber Bowman, Tiffany Loucks, Suzanne Parsons and Jennifer Evans. Regular business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with 24-hour support service for claims.
