Diamond man dead following Eagle Rock crash

A Diamond man is dead following a two-vehicle crash at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, on Highway 86 in Eagle Rock.

A Missouri State Highway Patrol report indicated the crash occurred when the driver of a 1971 Chevrolet Venture van, David A. Lampkin, 37, of Bergman, Ark., turned into the path of a 2010 Yamaha motorcycle, ridden by Martin A. Jacoby, 49, of Diamond, and struck the vehicle head-on.

Jacoby's body was taken to Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville

This is Troop D's 91st fatality crash for the year.

Other crashes

* A Washburn teen was injured in a crash at 1:20 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12 on Farm Road 1055, about a mile southwest of Washburn. The crash occurred when the driver of a 1999 Saturn SL1, Kallie J. Bowman, 16, of Washburn, ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree. Bowman was taken by private vehicle to Mercy Hospital in Cassville with minor injuries.

* A Springdale, Ark., man was injured in a motorcycle wreck at 8:05 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10 on Highway 76 about five miles east of Shell Knob. The crash occurred when a 2013 Honda NCH50, ridden by Ron J. Landers, ran off the roadway on a curve and struck a guardrail. Landers was taken to Mercy Hospital in Berryville, Ark., with moderate injuries.
