The City of Cassville will hold its annual fall cleanup starting Monday, Oct. 21 and continuing through Friday, Oct. 25. Republic Services will accept additional household waste and large items on regular collection days.

The following items will be accepted at the curb: barbecue grills, patio furniture, outdoor furniture, sofas, dressers, love seats, recliners, desks, televisions, bundled guttering, beds, hide-a-beds, mattresses and box springs.

Also accepted will be wood pallets, waste from small remodeling projects if lengths are cut into four-foot sections and stacked; sinks, toilets, cabinets, vanities, carpet cut into four-foot lengths and bundled; fencing that is cut into four-foot lengths; and bicycles.

Republic Services will not accept tires, yard waste, large quantities of ash, dead animals, raw sewage, waste oil, hazardous materials, wet paint containers, chemicals, flammable substances, lead or acid batteries, or waste from large remodeling or construction projects.

Cassville residents will also have the option to put large appliances at the curb for collection. There will be a $15 fee for large items, payable to Republic Services, and schedule a collection day.

The following appliances will be accepted once the $15 collection fee has been paid: dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, water heaters and stoves.

Republic Services will accept refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners that display a tag from a licensed technician declaring the freon has been removed from the item.

Yard waste will be accepted as normal at the designated facility behind the Cassville Aquatic Park.
