Clark Center 5K run results

The Clark Community Mental Health Center hosted its first Clark Center 5K on Saturday Oct. 5. Branding for this race is CC5K, and will be hosted each year on the first Saturday in October.

This race was dedicated to Frank Compton, Clark Center chief executive officer and board president, who marked his 50th year in social services

More than 60 participants in the run made it successful.

Organizers extended appreciation to the volunteers and sponsors that made the event possible, and to the businesses and individuals in the area that contributed to make this race a success.

Sponsors were: Doug's Pro Lube, New Site Baptist Church, Bruner Pharmacy, Countryside Care Center, The CPA Group, YMCA -- Stacy McKenzie, Subway of Monett, Daylight Donuts of Monett, Little Cesars of Monett, Dairy Queen of Monett and Visionhealth Eye Center. Josť Genel provided artwork for the race route.

A total of 17 runners participated in the mile race.

The top five finishers were:

GradyEhrhardt, first, 19.37; AndreaEhrhardt, second, 19.38; Cooper Charleston, third,21.12; Savannah Charleston, fourth, 21.18; and Savannah Charleston, fifth, 21.19.

There were 37 runners in the 5K race.

Top five men finishers were: Ron Bouchard (age 47), first, 21.56; David DeSutter (45), second, 22.37; Fernando Garcia (58), third, 23.36; Don Weber (47), fourth, 24.03; Zayne Bouchard (10), sixth in 24.43.

Top five women finishers were: Stacy McKenzie (age 44), fifth, 24.25; Darian Shields (22), ninth in 26.24; Nikki Weber (44), 10th in 26.3; Yari Martinez (33), 11th, 27.4; and Jessica McSpadden(27), 16th, 32.47
