Purdy downs College Heights on Senior Night

The Purdy Lady Eagles defeated College Heights 10-0 in six innings on Oct. 4

The Lady Eagles (15-5) recognized their lone senior, Carleigh Hall, before the game.

Hall helped put Purdy on the board in the first.

Jayse Henderson led off the home half of the first by reaching base on an error. Hall then tripled to score Henderson.

After a scoreless second frame, the Lady Eagles erupted for five runs in the third.

Henderson singled to open the third and then Hall reached on an error.

Andrea Humphrey singled to score Henderson.

Breanna Keeler continued the hit parade with a double to score Hall. Humphey would score on an error to make the score 4-0. Sami House and Skylar Lakey would collect RBIs to finish the inning and give Purdy a 6-0 lead.

The Lady Eagles scored three more times in the fourth and once in the sixth to inflict the mercy rule and earn a 10-0 win.

Purdy opens play in the Class 2, District 5 tournament on Oct. 10.
