Robert "Bob" Milne

Robert "Bob" Milne, 85, of Washburn, passed away on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at his home. He was born on Feb. 9, 1928, in New Haven, Conn., son of Frederick and Marie (Schmitt) Milne. He graduated from high school and served his country in the U.S. Army. In the late 1960s, he accepted a job in Mena, Ark., with U.S. Motors as an engineer. In 1968, he was united in marriage to Linda Burris in Mena. In the 1980s, they moved to Cassville, where he worked as a engineer with Fasco until his retirement.

Survivors include: his wife, Linda, of Washburn; three sons, Robert Bruce Milne Jr., of Rogers, Ark., and Everette Andrew Milne and Mitchell Milne, both of Mena, Ark.; two daughters, Debra Shanley, of Milford, Conn., and Linda Petillo, of Woodbridge, Conn.; and nine grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ted Milne.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, at 1 p.m. at the White Funeral Home & Crematory, Cassville, with Minister Ken West officiating.
