Jackie Francis Horne
Jackie Francis Horner, 69, of Cassville, passed away at his home Friday, Oct. 4, 2013.
He was born May 28, 1944, in Butterfield, the son of Amos E. and Ellen (Anderson) Horner. On April 7, 1978, he was united in marriage to Linda Louise Groves, and she survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons, Jeff Horner and his wife, Nancy, of Cassville, and James Max Horner and his wife, Elena, of Berryville, Ark.; two daughters, Melody Lynn Webb and her husband, Stanley, of Cassville, and Christine Anne Sabatino and her husband, Patrick, of West Virginia; five brothers, Charles Horner, and his wife, Judy, of Bella Vista, Ark., Glen Horner and his wife, Linda, of Kansas City, Pat Horner and his wife, Mary Ann, of Cassville, Paul Horner and his wife, Mary Dale, and Mike Horner and his wife, Louise, all of Oklahoma; four sisters, Melanie Jo Tichenor and her husband, Wendell, of Springfield, Louise Corder, of Oklahoma, Ada Belle Willman and her husband, John, of Texas, and Janie Harvey, of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Elaine (Boyd) Weatherly Horner; one son, Kevin Lee Horner (2006); two brothers, Gene Horner and Larry Weatherly; and two sisters, Maxine Gautney and Sue Rogers.
|He grew up in Butterfield where he attended elementary school and continued his education in Cassville. He served in the U.S. Navy until he was injured and forced to retire in 1969.||Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Butterfield, under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Jerry Nickle will conduct the services.|
