Absentee ballots now available for Wheaton Fire Protection District special election

Absentee voting continues for the Tuesday, Nov. 5 special election for the Wheaton Fire Protection District.

Absentee voting will continue from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Barry County Clerk's Office, located at 700 Main, Suite 2, in Cassville.

Those unable to vote in person may request an absentee ballot be mailed to them by sending a written request to the office of Gary Youngblood, Barry County Clerk, 700 Main, Ste. 2, Cassville, MO 65625 or by fax at 417-847-5311.

Those requesting absentee ballots by mail are asked to provide information on the date of the election, name of the voter, physical address, mailing address, date of birth, last four digits of the Social Security number, a phone number and the reason for voting absentee.All requests must be signed.

The last day to register to vote is Wednesday, Oct. 9. The last day to request a mailed ballot for the general election is Thursday, Oct. 30.
