Wednesday, October 2, 2013

Hospice Compassus and Crowder have joined together to co-host a free screening of the film, Honor Flight, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, at Crowder College in Cassville. Donations will be accepted to benefit the Honor Flight Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to sending World War II veterans to view the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C., each year at no cost.

"Hospice Compassus has a long history of providing compassionate care to our veterans," said Janet Gard, executive director of Hospice Compassus in Monett. "We want to do our part in honoring them for their courageous service.

"We invite and encourage the community to join with us in remembering our local veterans' sacrifices through this inspiring and touching film," she said.

The screening will take place on the Crowder College Cassville Campus, located at 4020 N. Main St. in Cassville.

For more information about the event, call Joni Moore, Hospice care consultant, or Ginger Harrison, volunteer coordinator, at 417-235-9097.
